چکیده
C3–N1′ bond formation of bisindoles has been a great challenge due to the intrinsic reactivity indoles as both C3 and N1-nucleophilic character. Herein, we demonstrate an cross-coupling reaction using N-methoxyindoles N-electrophilic indole reagents in presence Lewis acid. The generated this transformation are latent C3-nucleophile, allowing them be used strategic intermediates sequential C3–N1′–C3′–N1″ triindole formations. potential synthetic usefulness was highlighted upon application construction C3–N1 looped polyindoles.

Applications of Palladium-Catalyzed C–N Cross-Coupling Reactions
Pd-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions that form C-N bonds have become useful methods to synthesize anilines and aniline derivatives, an important class of compounds throughout chemical research. A key factor in the widespread adoption of these methods has been the continued development of reliable and versatile catalysts that function under operationally simple, user-friendly conditions. This r...

Simple iron salts such as FeCl(n), Fe(acac)(n) (n = 2,3) or the salen complex 4 turned out to be highly efficient, cheap, toxicologically benign, and environmentally friendly precatalysts for a host of cross-coupling reactions of alkyl or aryl Grignard reagents, zincates, or organomanganese species with aryl and heteroaryl chlorides, triflates, and even tosylates. An "inorganic Grignard reagent...

A copper-catalyzed cross-coupling reaction of epoxides with arylboronates is described. This reaction is not limited to aromatic epoxides, because aliphatic epoxides are also suitable substrates. In addition, N-sulfonyl aziridines can be successfully converted into the products. This reaction provides convenient access to β-phenethyl alcohols, which are valuable synthetic intermediates.

PtCl2 effectively catalyzes the multistep reaction of N-methyl indole (1 a) with pent-3-yn-1-ol (2 a) in THF at room temperature for 2 h to give indole derivative 3 a, which contains a five-membered cyclic ether group at C3 in 93% yield. Under similar reaction conditions, various substituted N-methyl indoles 1 b-h and indole (1 i) reacted efficiently with 2 a to afford the corresponding indole ...
